...original oil paintings of contemporary landscapes in a realistic style
Retiring from a career as a graphic designer and the Donald W. Reynolds Library serving Baxter County, AR, Kathe returned to oil painting full time in 2019. Her painting instruction included classes at The Art Institute of Chicago and earning an associate degree in fine art. Continuing education includes online instruction and workshops, most recently from Kathleen B. Hudson. Primarily painting landscapes, Kathe combines her love of the outdoors with painting the natural beauty of the Ozarks.
Kathe is a member of the Ozark Regional Arts Council and held her first one-woman exhibit at the Sheid Gallery at ASU Mountain Home. She has exhibited in the Art Odyssey artists' open studio tours and Plein Air on the White River artists’ events, at the Palette Art League Gallery, at the Donald W. Reynolds Library, West Plains Council on the Arts plein air showcase, 1st Street Gallery, and with the Area Art Club.
